Vintage Vertigo Celebrates our Planet!
My dear fellow vintage buyers and sellers, feel good about yourselves today,
for you are helping to save our Mother Earth.
Every little thing we salvage and sell instead of tossing into the trash bin helps. It could be a quilt, basket, book, plate, teacup, bowl, dress, brooch, tablecloth, button... or any of the other myriad items in our shops. As the old saying goes, "One person's trash is another person's treasure." That couldn't be more true.
All of these vintage items are a piece of our historic past and a link to an almost forgotten time. As a vintage seller and buyer, I feel that so many of these items are much too precious to destroy, but sadly not everyone feels the same way.
We vintage sellers and buyers are helping to turn these cast-off items into valuable products by polishing them up and giving them a second chance. Every day we choose to recycle, reuse, or re-purpose an item, we are saving our earth's precious resources; the air, water, trees, minerals and energy.
Many of us in our own shops, use recycled packing materials, further benefiting the cause. So feel good about yourselves Vintage Vertigo Team members and buyers, you are saving our Earth!

When you celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day,
I hope you remember this prayer for the trees.
The Forest's Prayer
"I am the heat of your hearth on the cold winter nights,
the friendly shade screening you from the summer sun,
and my fruits are refreshing draughts quenching your
thirst as you journey on.
I am the beam that holds your house, the board of your table,
the bed on which you lie, and the timber that builds your boat.
I am the handle of your hoe, the door of your homestead,
the wood of your cradle, the shell of your coffin.
I am the bread of kindness and the floor of beauty.
You who pass by, listen to my prayer: do me no harm."
Traditional Portuguese Prayer
Recycle, reuse, re-purpose....
Thank you Mother Earth, we appreciate you!
